Xtream Codes on Firestick: Setup Guide for Fire TV

Fire TV Sticks are among the most common devices for IPTV because they’re cheap and TV-friendly. Amazon restricts which apps you can install, so the main hurdle is sideloading — installing apps that aren’t in the store. This guide makes that safe and straightforward.

What you need

• A Fire TV Stick (or Fire TV) with the latest system update.
• A player app you want to install.

Step 1 — Enable unknown sources

Amazon blocks sideloading by default:

1. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options.
2. Turn on “Apps from unknown sources” (or “Install unknown apps”) for your chosen app installer.

This setting only affects what you can install; it doesn’t make your device less secure by itself.

Step 2 — Install a player

The simplest path is a downloader app:

1. In the Amazon Appstore, install Downloader (by AFTVnews).
2. Open Downloader and enter the player’s official APK download URL.
3. Confirm the file and install it.
4. Repeat “unknown sources” for Downloader if prompted.

Install only from the player’s official site to avoid tampered APKs.

Step 3 — Connect to the portal

1. Open the player and choose Xtream Codes (or portal) as the login type.
2. Enter your server address, username, and password.
